Surrounded by shadows in a world so dark,
I finally saw it, a distant spark;
I wondered, I wondered what it could be,
But blackness consumed me; I hardly could see.

Curious by nature, I wanted to know;
On shaky legs, I started to go,
Towards the light, this burning beacon;
As I came closer, the shadows began to weaken.

Suddenly I notice some brand new things,
Sharp white claws, a pair of wings,
A tail extending from my back.

I close my eyes and open them again
And gasp aloud at this new domain,
For all around me other dragons roam;
And soon I feel it: I am at home.
